Witness claims Tymoshenko paid $3 mln for killing parliamentarian Shcherban

KYIV. Feb 15 (Interfax) - Investigative Judge Viktor Kytsyuk of the Pechersky District Court in Kyiv has completed the questioning of Serhiy Zaitsev, the second witness in a criminal case dealing with the murder of Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevhen Shcherban in 1996.

The questioning lasted over two hours in the absence of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.

Zaitsev claimed that Tymoshenko had paid $3 million for Shcherban's murder, an Interfax correspondent reported from the courtroom.
