Two S. Ossetian convicts released in Georgia - Tskhinvali

TSKHINVALI. Feb 18 (Interfax) - Two residents of South Ossetia have been released from Georgian prisons, the secretariat of the South Ossetian human rights commissioner told Interfax on Friday.

"Omar Georgiyevich Margiyev, born in 1981, and Georgy Soslanovich Tedeyev, born in 1990, have been freed," it said.

"The work on this issue is continuing," it said.

Margiyev and Tedeyev were detained before August 2008. The secretariat did not specify the motives for their detention.
