Georgia's Targamadze says will ignore Russian arrest warrant

TBILISI. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Givi Targamadze, a Georgian lawmaker for whom Russia has issued an arrest warrant for allegedly plotting mass riots, said he did not see the measure as an obstacle to his foreign travel.

"Today I am where I have to be, and I want to declare that not a single Russian court ruling will become an obstacle to my movements," Targamadze told First Georgian Radio by phone.

The warrant, issued by the Basmanny Court in Moscow, was forwarded to the Russian police for Targamadze to be put on the international wanted list, Russian Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin told Interfax.
