KYIV. Feb 25 (Interfax) - Video surveillance cameras in former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's hospital room were dismantled on Friday evening, and she returned to the room, the State Penitentiary Service reported.
"As of 7:00 p.m., the video cameras from the said premises [hospital rooms] of the Ukrainian Railway's Central Clinical Hospital were dismantled, and video surveillance in these premises is not being maintained. The convict thanked the institution's administration for this and returned to her hospital room," it said.
President Viktor Yanukovych said during a live call-in show on Ukrainian television earlier on Friday that he believed video cameras should be removed from Tymoshenko's hospital room.
