ALMATY. Feb 26 (Interfax) - The current round of negotiations between the P5+1 group (the UN Security Council's five permanent members plus Germany) and Iranian officials in Almaty, Kazakhstan will most likely continue for two days, Michael Mann, spokesperson for EU Foreign Policy Chief Baroness Catherine Ashton, said.
A great deal would depend on the dynamics at the session hall, he said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
But the EU would be surprised if these talks ended today, he said.
Mann said that he had bought a return ticket for Thursday morning.
Mann said that since the talks started at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, he did not expect them to end on the same day.
The spokesman, however, added he did not think that whether talks are successful or not could depend on their duration.
He promised to hold these negotiations for as long as it is necessary to make progress.
