MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - P5+1 is holding talks with Iran in order to ensure progress towards allaying the concerns of the international community regarding the Iranian nuclear program, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton said.
"We have come here with a revised offer and we have come to engage with Iran in a meaningful way, our purpose being to make sure that we've had a good and detailed conversation, with the ambition that we see progress by the end of the meeting," Ashton said in a statement.
International mediators will take into consideration the situation in Iran, she said. They will also take account previous discussions, the issues that Iran has raised and the issues that P5+1 has raised during discussions with the IAEA, the statement reads.
"All of that is taken into account in this revised offer," Ashton said.
"We [P5+1] work very closely together to make sure that the proposals we put forward are in all our names," he said.
