Russian diplomat: P5+1's meeting with Iran in Almaty was useful (Part 2)

ALMATY. Feb 27 (Interfax) - The meeting in Almaty between Iran and the P5+1 group of nations promoting international efforts toward settling the nuclear problem of Iran was useful, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.

"The meeting proved to be useful," Ryabkov told Interfax upon the completion of the talks on Wednesday.

The parties are analyzing the possibility of a meeting at the expert level possibly in mid-March, he said.

"There is material for experts to work with," he said.

"That is, we have managed to resume a full-format negotiating process," he said.

Michael Mann, the chief spokesperson for the EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, also called helpful the Almaty talks, the Iranian TV channel Press TV reported.
