MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax-AVN) - United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) President Mikhail Pogosyan has won the 2012 Person of the Year international award in the Leader of the Year nomination, says a UAC corporate communication department report received by Interfax-AVN on Wednesday.
"Mikhail Pogosyan won the Leader of the Year title for restoring the aircraft industry and creating the civilian, military and transport aviation complex," it said.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Pogosyan said that the aircraft industry had been enjoying a steady upward trend and he intended to keep it. "This is not just my award. This is the award of the entire sector, which is shaping up the future of the Russian high-tech industry," Pogosyan said.
