UN may decide on resolution on North Korea soon - Deputy Minister Gatilov

MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - The UN Security Council may have a vote on a draft resolution on North Korea shortly, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov told Interfax on Tuesday.

"The UN Security Council will hold the first consultations today, as the United States and China coordinate the draft. If it does not contain unacceptable clauses, possibly, the UN Security Council will be able to make a decision," he said.

"We are not talking today's vote. But I do not rule out a vote shortly if everyone is satisfied with the draft's content," he stressed.
