Investigation attaches real estate belonging to Oboronservice defendant Vasilyeva - spokesman (Part 2)

MOSCOW. March 7 (Interfax) - Russian investigative authorities have ordered attachment of several apartments, a house, and a nonresidential facility belonging to Yevgenia Vasilyeva, a defendant under a criminal case dealing with embezzlement in the company Oboronservice affiliated with the Russian Defense Ministry, Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin said.

"An investigator informed Yevgenia Vasilyeva of ordering the attachment of three apartments (one in Moscow and two in St. Petersburg), a house in the Leningrad region and a nonresidential facility on Arbat Street [in Moscow], with the total floor area of over 600 square meters," Markin said.

The attachment was ordered by the Investigative Committee's main military investigations department as part of a criminal case dealing with fraud during the sale of Oboronservice assets.

Markin pointed out that Vasilyeva is wearing an electronic bracelet to prevent her possible escape.

"The bracelet has been fixed on her right foot, and special technical devices have also been installed in Vasilyeva's apartment in Molochny Pereulok Street to control her compliance with restrictions imposed on her by a court," he said.
