NEW YORK (UN). March 11 (Interfax) - Russia considers the resolution adopted by the UN Security Council on Thursday a reasonable and balanced response to the nuclear and ballistic missile tests conducted in North Korea, Russia's envoy to the UN Vitaly Churkin said.
"The resolution is reasonable and balanced. As regards Russia, we consider it important that the document speaks about the need to resume six-party negotiations [on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula]," the Russian diplomat said.
At the same time, Churkin reiterated that the resumption of these talks is not an easy task, which is unlikely to be accomplished in the near future.
