OSH/BISHKEK. March 11 (Interfax) - Supporters of three Kyrgyz parliament deputies arrested on coup conspiracy charges are demanding dismissal of Prosecutor General Aida Salyanova and the parliament.
About 600 people took part in the Monday protest rally in Jalal-Abad, Southern Kyrgyzstan, an Interior Ministry representative told Interfax.
The protesters demanded release of Ata Zhurt opposition party deputies Kamchybek Tashiyev, Sadyr Zhaparov and Talant Mamytov from the National Security Committee detention facility. The deputies were incarcerated after the rally of October 3, 2012.
A number of protesters suggested holding the action in Bishkek.
"All of the [city] organizations are operating normally," the Jalal-Abad police said.
Meanwhile, the committee supporting Kumtor gold mine rights and interests and the arrested deputies announced "an indefinite delay of the Bishkek rally scheduled for March 13 to demand the release of the parliamentarians."
