MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - The Russian Federal Drug Control Service has helped destroy several drug laboratories in Afghanistan, FSKN Director Viktor Ivanov said.
"A large-scale operation was carried out yesterday, as a result of which a number of drug laboratories were liquidated and around 21 tonnes of heroin and morphine were confiscated," Ivanov said at a session of the FSKN board in Moscow on Tuesday.
"This unprecedented operation became possible thanks to the success of Russia's months-long investigation into the Afghan heroin transit infrastructure, which allowed us to track down concrete persons," he said.
