NAZRAN. March 12 (Interfax) - An Interior Ministry serviceman was injured in a mine explosion during a security operation outside the village of Galashki in the Sunzha district of Ingushetia, a source in the republic's law enforcement agencies told Interfax.
"Servicemen were combing a wooded area for the presence of militants early this morning. One of the soldiers sustained injuries when an unknown mine went off. He was hospitalized," the source said.
The Interior Ministry's aircraft-assisted operation, aimed at tracking down and detaining gang members, has been in progress in several villages of the Sunzha district since March 9, he said.
