Over 100 Russians, citizens of other CIS countries evacuated from Syria

MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - A Russian Emergency Situations Ministry Ilyushin Il-62 aircraft has brought more than 100 citizens of Russia and other CIS countries wishing to leave Syria to Moscow, the ministry told Interfax.

"An Il-62 plane carrying 103 Russians and citizens of other CIS countries wishing to leave the dangerous region landed at the Domodedovo airport at 11:50 p.m. Moscow time Tuesday," it said.

It was reported earlier that an Il-62 plane delivered humanitarian cargo to Latakia and evacuated people wishing to leave Syria on its way back to Moscow.
