MAKHACHKALA. March 13 (Interfax) - A counter-terrorist operation is taking place in the Echeda zone, Dagestan's Tsumada district, the Dagestani Operative Staff told Interfax.
"The Operative Staff imposed the counter-terrorist operation on the village of Echeda and its vicinity at 2 p.m.," it said.
Meanwhile, the police reported an armed militant could be hiding in the village.
