MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - The police have blocked a major chain of arms supply to militants in the North Caucasus, a representative of the National Counter-Terrorism Committee told Interfax.
"The Federal Security Service has blocked a major chain of arms supply to militants in Kabardino-Balkaria, Ingushetia and North Ossetia over the past 24 hours," he said.
The Federal Security Service and the police apprehended four local residents - Vakha Tsoroyev, Musa Korigov, Maksharip Archakov and Jabrail Yevloyev - in the Malgobek district of Ingushetia.
"Same as the militants neutralized in Kabardino-Balkaria the day before, they had been supplying arms and ammunition to illegal units," the source said.
Officers seized a grenade launcher with dozen of rounds, a Kalashnikov rifle with a silencer, an Italian handgun, a rifle, ten grenades, a night-vision camera, over 1,000 submachine gun rounds of various calibers and two landmines.
"The criminals were using ids of courts and public organizations to mislead credulous people," the source said.
