LONDON. March 14 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is not satisfied with the speed of decision-making by the British authorities on the extradition of several Russians to Russia.
"We tried to openly discuss even the most complex issues as partners whether they are concerns about human rights or slow progress in tackling the extradition of certain Russian citizens persecuted by law and currently staying in Britain," he said at a Wednesday press conference following the talks of Russian and British foreign and defense ministers in London on the 2+2 format.
"This absolutely does not prevent us from seeing common interests on a whole number of key issues on which the peace and calm in Europe and around it depend," he said.
He was generally satisfied with the establishment of such a format of contacts between Moscow and London.
