Date of Gabala radar shutdown not set yet - Azeri foreign ministry

BAKU. March 19 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan and Russia continue talks on the shutdown of the Gabala radar station which had been rented by Russia until the end of 2012, said Azeri Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov.

"A plan has been drawn up for the final closure of the radar station and talks have been held with Russia," Mamedyarov said at a press briefing on Tuesday.

The date of the radar's final shutdown has not been set yet, he said.
