MOSCOW. March 20 (Interfax) - Suspect in Oboronservice case Yevgenia Vasilyeva is still engaged in illegal actions, investigators said.
"Vasilyeva is still controlling her employees, some of them are fleeing from investigators and while she is free, Vasilyeva can impede the investigation," an investigator said on Wednesday at a court hearing of the request to prolong Vasilyeva's house arrest until May 23.
The investigator said that there were no grounds to lighten Vasilyeva's pre-trial restrictions.
Vasilyeva, head of the Defense Ministry's property department, said that she was opposed to further house arrest and proclaimed her innocence.
"I object and I plead not guilty," Vasilyeva said at the court hearing.
Vasilyeva said that she disagreed with all conclusions of investigators.
Vasilyeva's lawyers asked the court to dismiss investigators' request to prolong their client's house arrest. "What have investigators written? The grounds are the same: it's necessary to check some devices, to hold inspections, the same as two moths ago," attorney Alexander Gofstein said.
