MOSCOW. March 22 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Ukrainian General Staff chief Volodymyr Zaman discussed the Russian Black Sea Fleet's presence in Ukraine and the use of elements of its infrastructure by the Ukrainian armed forces on Thursday, a Defense Ministry spokesman told Interfax-AVN.
The parties discussed strategic partnership, joint tactical and combat training, and military-technical cooperation, and exchanged experience in carrying out military reform, the spokesman said.
"Special emphasis was laid on integration processes between the Russian and Ukrainian armed forces, joint tactical and combat training, and ways to perfect various forms of military and military-technical cooperation," he said.
Russian-Ukrainian exercises, Slavic Commonwealth 2013 and Peace Fairway 2013, will be conducted, Ukrainian servicemen will take part in the Combat Commonwealth 2013 joint drill with live firing exercises, and BLACKSEAFOR naval force's maneuvers will be held, the spokesman said.
