Russia plans ten space launches for April-June 2013

MOSCOW. April 2 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia will make ten space launches from various sites in the next three months, a space industry representative told Interfax-AVN.

"A Proton-M rocket will blast off Baikonur on April 15 to put in orbit the Anik G1 telecom satellite. The launch of the Bion-M research rover is due on April 19 with a Soyuz 2.1а rocket, and a Soyuz-U rocket will carry the Progress M-19M resupply ship to space on April 24," he said.

A Soyuz-FG rocket will be launched from Baikonur on May 14 with the Soyuz TMA-09M manned spaceship; a Proton-M will bring to orbit the SES-6 telecom satellite on June 3, and a Soyuz-2.1b will deliver the Resurs-P earth monitoring satellite on June 21.

A Glonass-M navigation satellite will be positioned in orbit by a Soyuz-U rocket from Plesetsk in April. Three Gonets-M communication satellites will be launched with a Rokot rocket on June 27.

Four O3b communication satellites will be launched with a Russian rocket Soyuz-ST-B from the Kourou Space Center in South America on June 24.
