Georgian foreign minister has no intention to change position

TBILISI. April 8 (Interfax) - Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze has denied Georgian media reports that claimed last week the allegedly pending reshuffle of the government and Panjikidze's transfer to the position of culture minister.

"No government reshuffle has been planned and I will remain the foreign minister," Panjikidze said on Monday.

Georgian media outlets claimed that Salome Zourabichvili, who used to be the foreign minister in Mikheil Saakashvili's government in 2004-2006, would become the foreign minister soon.

Zourabichvili told reporters recently she had met with Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili and did not rule out her return to civil service. She did not name her possible position though.
