All foreigners but Customs Union citizens to visit Russia with intl passports from 2015

SOCHI. April 19 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has supported the proposal of the Federal Migration Service to admit foreign citizens to Russia only with international passports.

The president proposed at a meeting with Federal Migration Service Director Konstantin Romodanovsky on Thursday that the rule come into effect on January 1, 2015.

Putin emphasized that the rule would not apply to citizens of Customs Union member countries - Kazakhstan and Belarus.
