MOSCOW. May 15 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin's reply to U.S. President Barack Obama's letter will be handed to him by the end of May, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"The letter will be handed over by the end of the month," Peskov told Interfax on Wednesday in commenting on reports that Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev is expected in Washington with the letter on May 20.
Patrushev said on Monday that Putin's reply to Obama was not ready yet.
"The visit [to the U.S.] will take place when the letter is ready. The letter is not ready yet," Patrushev told reporters.
Earlier reports said Patrushev was to deliver Putin's reply to Obama.
