TBILISI. May 30 (Interfax) - The Georgian government is forming an interdepartmental task group to study problems of people in the Tskhinvali district, on the border with South Ossetia, State Minister for Reintegration Paata Zakareishvili told a Thursday press briefing.
He said the group would not just study the local situation but also record problems encountered by local residents in the demarcation of the "occupation line."
In his words, Russian border guards moved "the occupation line" near the villages Ditsi and Dvani 300 meters into the Georgian territory. The state minister also said that installation of barbed wire by Russian servicemen might have been caused by frequent visits of South Ossetian residents to Gori and Tbilisi.
"We view these actions as a response to our peace policy. They have no other choice but provoke us and engage us in negotiations about the non-existent border in the Tskhinvali district," Zakareishvili said.
