Putin, Xi discuss Russian-Chinese cooperation on telephone

MOSCOW. June 17 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Saturday, the Kremlin press service reported.

"The Russian and Chinese leaders exchanged opinions on relevant aspects of Russian-Chinese relations. They expressed satisfaction with an unprecedentedly high level of their development and truly trusting and comprehensive cooperation," it said.

Putin and Xi shared the view that far-reaching agreements concluded during the Chinese leader's visit to Russia in March are being implemented successfully.

The two leaders also discussed interaction on the international arena and planned contacts for the near future.
