Another group of Golyanovo illegals will leave for homelands on Tuesday or Wednesday - Federal Migration Service

MOSCOW. Aug 12 (Interfax) - The administration of the Moscow department of the Federal Migration Service plans to liquidate the illegal migrants' camp in the Moscow Golyanovo district before the end of August.

"We need to resolve this problem before the end of August," Olga Kirillova, the head of the Moscow department of the Federal Migration Service, told Interfax.

The first group of illegal migrants (31 people) left for Vietnam, their homeland, on Saturday.

"We are really hoping that the next group will leave for their homeland on Tuesday or Wednesday. Bailiffs will be working on it," Kirillova said.

Illegal migrants who are now in Golyanovo will be transferred to accommodation centers for foreign citizens as spaces become available there to wait for decisions on their deportation, she said.

Russian human rights ombudsman Vladimir Lukin told Interfax last week almost 600 people, mostly citizens of Vietnam, are now in the Golyanovo camp.
