Nearly 3,000 migrants detained in Moscow region's Lyubertsy

MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - Over 2,850 foreigners have been brought to a Moscow region police station following the illegal migrant operation conducted in the Moscow region's Lyubertsy district.

"Following those measures, 2,856 foreign citizens have been brought to the Kotelniki police station. The check showed that many migrants did not have legal permission to work in Russia," the press office of the Russian Interior Ministry's Main Department for the Moscow region told Interfax.

According to the press office, police have composed 641 statements on administrative violations.
