Russian, Chinese prime ministers to meet this year

MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - The Russian and Chinese prime ministers will hold a meeting by the end of the year and the bilateral contact between the two countries' leaders on the sidelines of the G20 summit in September will precede that meeting.

"Another meeting of prime ministers is being prepared. Our leaders will hold a meeting on the sidelines of the G20 summit in St. Petersburg," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a meeting with Chinese State Council member Yang Jiechi in Moscow on Thursday.

Yang Jiechi said that "the prime ministers will meet later this year."

"Our speaker also intends to pay an important visit to Russia," Yang Jiechi said.
