MOSCOW. Aug 20 (Interfax) - Defense Ministry sanitary and epidemiological teams operating in the flood zone in the Russian Far East do not forecast massive outbreaks of infectious and non-infectious diseases, the Defense Ministry's press service and information department told Interfax.
"The sanitary and epidemiological situation in that region is stable and disease rates do not exceed the long-term average annuals," it said.
Eight mobile sanitary and epidemiological teams have been deployed in the flood zone. Their laboratories regularly control the quality of drinking water.
