MOSCOW. Sept 6 (Interfax) - Russia has again demanded that Belarus immediately free Uralkali General Director Vladislav Baumgertner, who is under arrest in Belarus.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin met with Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Igor Petrishchenko on Friday, the Russian Foreign Ministry has reported.
"Special attention was given to the situation caused by the Belarusian law enforcement agencies' actions with some top managers of JSC Uralkali and former officials of CJSC Belarus Potash Company (BPC)," the report says.
The report reiterates that Russia insists on the unconditional and immediate release of Russian citizen Vladislav Baumgertner and his unimpeded return to Russia.
