SCO countries intend to work together on preventing dissemination of extremist ideas via Internet

BISHKEK. Sept 13 (Interfax) - The leaders of the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have spoken in favor of developing universal rules for the conduct of countries on the Internet.

With the Bishkek Declaration, adopted at the summit, the heads of the SCO countries assumed an obligation "to prevent the use of information and communication technologies for the purposes of undermining the political, economic and public security of SCO countries and curb the dissemination of materials promoting terrorism, extremism, and separatism on the Internet."
