Two Caucasus Emirate militants killed in Kabardino-Balkaria - Counterterrorism Committee

MOSCOW. Sept 30 (Interfax) - Two militants killed in the Baksan district of the Kabardino-Balkaria on Sunday were members of the Caucasus Emirate terrorist organization, the information center of the National Counterterrorism Committee told Interfax.

The militants were killed in the village of Dugulubgei. A source from the Kabardino-Balkaria department of the Russian Investigative Committee told Interfax the militants were tentatively identified as Batyrbek Duduyev born in 1991 and Timur Khamgokov born in 1988.

"The National Counterterrorism Committee's operative staff said the dead militants were active members of a ring of the Caucasus Emirate international terrorist organization and took part in a number of terrorist attacks, including attempted murder and actual murder of police officers, and deliveries of armaments and ammunition to illegal armed groups operating in Kabardino-Balkaria," the source said.
