Russia, U.S., UN to discuss preparations for conference on Syria on Nov 5 in Geneva - Gatilov (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Oct 23 (Interfax) - The meeting dedicated to preparations for the Geneva II international conference regarding Syria in the format of Russia, the United States and the United Nations will be held in Geneva on November 5.

"The meeting will be held on November 5," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov told Interfax on Wednesday.

All issues related to the organization of the Geneva II conference will be discussed and UN Secretary General's Special Representative for Syria Lakhdar Brahimi will be able to inform the parties on the results of his trip to the region, Gatilov said.

Gatilov and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov will represent Russia at the meeting, Brahimi - the UN and Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman - the U.S.
