Ka-52 helicopter was being piloted by Kamov pilots- defense ministry

MOSCOW. Oct 29 (Interfax-AVN) - The Ka-52 helicopter that crashed in southeastern Moscow on Tuesday was not on the Air Force's roster, a Defense Ministry spokesman told Interfax-AVN.

"Helicopters from army aviation did not fly missions near Zhulebino on Tuesday," he said.

"The Ka-52 helicopter that crashed-landed in Zhulebino was undergoing trials at the Kamov design bureau as part of a research and development program. It was being piloted by Kamov test pilots,' he said.
