MOSCOW. Oct 30 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger discussed Russian-U.S. relations and relevant international issues at a meeting in Moscow on Tuesday.
"Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on October 29 received former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, who is in Moscow now. They had a profound exchange of opinions on the state and prospects of Russian-U.S. relations, relevant international problems, and world development trends," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Lavrov congratulated Kissinger on assigning him the title of honorary doctor of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Diplomatic Academy on October 28.
