Palestinians expect Israel to take concrete steps at negotiations - diplomat

MOSCOW. Oct 30 (Interfax) - Palestinian authorities are discontent with the negotiations with Israel and doubt the sincerity of Tel Aviv's wish to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Palestinian Ambassador in Moscow Fayed Mustafa said.

"We are dissatisfied with the progress of negotiations from a political point of view. Palestine, and not only it, has doubts about the seriousness of the Israeli intentions," he told a press conference in Moscow.

"The Israelis post numerous statements but we need concrete actions," the diplomat said.

He thinks that the nine-month period assigned by the international community for settling the Palestinian-Israeli conflict would be sufficient.

"All these questions are not new and groundwork has been laid for their solution. All we need is a demonstration of political will from Israel," he said.

The ambassador also said that the Palestinian authorities would continue to negotiate with Israel until the negotiations were complete.
