Two killed in Kurgan court building blast - Interior Ministry (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax) - Two people were killed and another two were injured as a result of a grenade explosion in a court building in the city of Kurgan, a Russian Interior Ministry spokesman told Interfax.

"An unknown man reportedly entered the building and detonated an item that looked like a grenade, killing himself and a court bailiff," the spokesman said.

Police officers are working at the scene, he added.

An investigation is under way.

A spokesman for Kurgan's Emergency Medicine Hospital told Interfax that the two persons injured by the blast in the court building had been admitted to this clinic.

The two got to the hospital "on their own," he said, declining to assess their condition.

No other people have been admitted to the hospital following the incident, he added.
