TSKHINVALI. Nov 5 (Interfax) - The 25th round of security consultations for the South Caucasus involving South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Russia, Georgia, the United States, the European Union, the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has begun in Geneva.
Presidential Representative for the Post-Conflict Settlement Murat Jioyev leads the South Ossetian delegation.
Jioyev told Interfax by telephone from Geneva that a joint statement on the sides' adherence to the non-use of force principle was expected to be signed during the round.
"The main task of the new round is to make tangible progress on the elaboration of a legally binding document, which will prevent Georgia's use of force against South Ossetia," Jioyev said.
The sides will also discuss the situation along the South Ossetian-Georgian border. South Ossetia will again speak about its citizens imprisoned in Georgia and missing persons.
