Tbilisi preparing for another round of talks with Moscow

TBILISI. Nov 5 (Interfax) - Georgian special presidential envoy for relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze hopes for positive outcomes of the upcoming negotiations with Russia.

The next round of the Geneva consultations on security in the South Caucasus is scheduled for November 5-6.

Abashidze ruled out any changes in the format of the talks. Speaking to journalists on Friday, Abashidze said these talks will address the consequences of the August 2008 war.

"The issues and problems that have arisen as a result of the 2008 war will be considered. These are problems of security, humanitarian problems, and other issues," he said.

"Let's wait and see. Talks and a positive attitude is one thing, but it is also very important to see what real results this round would produce and whether any positive elements would appear," he said.
