MOSCOW. Nov 6 (Interfax) - The conflict in Syria and the arrest of Greenpeace activists in the Russian Arctic were among issues raised in a telephone call on Tuesday between Russian President Vladimir Putin and British Prime Minister David Cameron.
"Attention was paid to the Syria issue and key aspects of organization of the Geneva II international conference. Both sides expressed the desire to do more work in seeking a political settlement of the conflict," the Russian president's office said in a statement.
"There was a constructive exchange of opinions on issues of bilateral cooperation and in connection with the situation surrounding the detention of the [Greenpeace] ship Arctic Sunrise," it said.
