MAKHACHKALA. Nov 6 (Interfax) - A district police officer was killed in Makhachkala on Wednesday, the press service for the Interior Ministry's department for Dagestan told Interfax.
The attack on the policeman occurred at 3:40 p.m., the source said. "The policeman died of gunshot wounds. The attackers left the scene. A Vulkan-4 plan has been put in place," the press service has reported.
This is the second police officer to be killed in Dagestan on Wednesday. Police Major Mikhail Magomedov, a district police inspector, was killed in the village of Zubutli-Miatli, Kizil-Yurt district, on Wednesday morning.
