MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax) - The dates of Geneva II currently cannot be approved due to obstacles created by the Syrian opposition, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"We have currently not been able to reach agreements during discussions of practical issues, including the dates and other organizational aspects, primarily because the [Syrian] opposition is not ready to accept invitations to the conference without preconditions," Lavrov told a briefing following negotiations with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier on Friday.
