BELGRADE. Nov 13 (Interfax) - Russia plans to sign three more cooperation documents with the Serbian Defense Ministry in the near future, Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu said on Tuesday.
"We will sign a military cooperation agreement tomorrow and three more agreements are being drawn up. In addition to the military cooperation agreement, I think we may draw up and sign a military-technological cooperation accord," he told Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic.
Interdepartmental processing of this document is practically over in Russia and it will soon be presented to the Serbian side, Shoigu said.
"An agreement on the protection of intellectual property is also important, it always accompanies military-technological cooperation documents as well as an agreement on non-divulgence of secrets. The latter has a slightly different name but precisely this meaning. Hopefully, the agreements will be prepared for signing shortly," the Russian defense minister added.
The Russian-Serbian humanitarian center in Nis, whose registration formalities were settled about two weeks ago, is another successful example of bilateral cooperation, Shoigu said.
"We started this [project] a rather long time ago and it proved to be efficient in fighting large fires in Serbia and neighboring states," he said.
