MOSCOW. Nov 13 (Interfax) - The speedy convocation of the Geneva II conference was obstructed by unacceptable conditions put forward by part of the Syrian opposition, leader of the moderate Popular Front for Change and Liberation Qadri Jamil has said.
"According to my study, the unacceptable conditions put forward by the Syrian opposition hindered the convocation of Geneva II," he said to Moscow journalists on Wednesday.
He said the question has been settled as the opposition "National Coalition announced its consent to participate in the conference with is important and positive."
Jamil did not evaluate the seriousness of intensions of the coalition saying that "practice is the criterion of truth." Only the participation or non-participation of this part of the opposition will allow for judging about the seriousness of their declarations, he said.
