VILNIUS. Nov 18 (Interfax-BNS) - A peace conference on Syria is expected to take place in Geneva in the middle of December, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who is currently visiting Vilnius, said on Monday.
Ban Ki-moon, however, said he could not give an exact date for the conference. The date may be announced on November 25 during a meeting between Lahdar Brahimi, a UN and Arab League Special Envoy to Syria, with Russian and U.S. officials, Ban Ki-moon said at a press conference given jointly with Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite.
