TBILISI. Nov 26 (Interfax) - Georgian media reported that two Georgian citizens were detained after crossing into South Ossetia on Monday.
Malkhaz Ivanishvili, 24, and Gocha Makishvili, 28, were detained outside the village of Khurvaleti on Monday evening.
Village residents told reporters on Tuesday that one of their two fellow villagers could have planned to see his 80 year-old grandfather who has been living on the other side after the demarcation of the border between Georgia and South Ossetia.
Georgia has not commented so far on the detention of two Georgian citizens.
