KYIV. Nov 28 (Interfax) - The students' strike committee has demanded that Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych sign the Association Agreement with the European Union at the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius on November 29.
An Interfax correspondent reports that a relevant call was made from an impromptu stage at Kyiv's EuroMaidan on Wednesday.
"We, striking students, are putting forward three demands to the president: firstly, to sign the Association Agreement with the EU on November 29; secondly, to guarantee the security of EuroMaidans throughout the country; thirdly, to stop the practice of banning rallies through courts," the students' strike committee declared.
Earlier reports said that students of many Kyiv institutions of higher learning had arrived at EuroMaidan.
