MOSCOW. Nov 28 (Interfax) - Almost 90 foreigners were brought to the police following a raid in central Moscow and a majority of them turned out to be illegal migrant workers and will be deported from Russia, the press office of the Russian Interior Ministry's Main Department for Moscow told Interfax.
Officers from Moscow's central district police held raids on November 26 in order to reveal migration law violations, the press office said.
As a result, 87 natives of Central Asia were brought to police stations for identification, determining the legality of their stay in Russia and checking their involvement in crimes committed previously.
Protocols on an administration violation under the Russian Administrative Code Article 18.8 - violating regulations of entry to Russia or of stay (living) in Russia by a foreigner or a person without citizenship - have been composed on all people detained.
